Climb the Lighthouse

Make your way to the top by climbing all 129 steps. Stop by the Lighthouse Museum for tickets and access to cool interactive exhibits, rare artifacts, and a gift shop for the best souvenirs to remember SSI by.

Seagulls

Head to the Beach

Spend sunny afternoons with your toes in the sand on our beautiful beaches. Catch a tan, pick up some seashells, and build your perfect sand castle right here in the Golden Isles.

Go biking

Take the scenic route. With many miles of bike-friendly coast, St. Simons Island will have you putting the pedal to the metal with a smile on your face. Check out Island Bicycle for bike rentals.

Go fishing at The Pier

Grab your tackle box, your fishing pole, and a snack from one of the many restaurants & shops along the way to the pier. Listen to the waves crash onto the beach beside you while you reel something good in.

Find Tree Spirits

You might just look up at an oak tree only to find it's staring right back at you. Our little island is home to 20 masterfully carved tree spirits. Check out this map to help you spot as many tree spirits as you can.

Dive into Neptune Park

Make a splash down by the pier at Neptune Park. With a lifeguard on duty, enjoy your swim in their huge pool complete with a water gym fun-zone for the kids. They also have an 18-hole mini golf course and free-to-the-public playground next door.
